Principal Verification Engineer

XtremeEDA will consider full-time or contract for this position.

Job Duties

Perform IP, subsystem- and/or SOC-level verification: planning; test-bench components and infrastructure, stimulus, & coverage development; environment development; root-cause debug; and coverage closure. Technically lead client engagements and/or aide Engineering Directors in assessing, sizing, & planning projects.

Required Qualifications

Must possess a BS / MS / PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and have a minimum of 12 years of ASIC/SOC/FPGA digital logic verification experience employing the following skills:

  • UVM and SystemVerilog (SV)
  • Strong C and C++ programming skills are very important
  • Shell scripting, Perl, Python, and/or Ruby
  • ARM Architecture and AMBA AHB / APB / AXI bus protocols
  • High-speed I/O (e.g. Ethernet, PCIe, USB, SATA, and/or SerDes)
  • Efficient triage and root-cause debug capabilities
  • Experience leading a technical team in semiconductor hardware development context is a plus

Desired Qualifications

Other desirable qualifications include SVA/OVA, VHDL, Assembly, DDR, Formal Verification, UPF / low-power methods, or mixed-signal verification experience.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in US or Canada to be considered (Company will not sponsor candidates for PR status)
  • Able to travel and work on site at Client facilities for short durations if needed

Principal RTL Design Engineer

XtremeEDA will consider full-time or contract for this position. Must be US Citizen to apply!!

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant design experience
  • Experience with full product life cycle (requirements, design, implementation and test) of FPGA Design and/or ASIC Design
  • Working knowledge of digital signal processing and digital interfaces
  • Experience leading a small project team to successfully complete ASIC Design or FPGA design
  • Be able to work in teams and communicate clearly across various levels of management and engineers

Desired Qualifications

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable engineering discipline
  • Experience with MatLAB, Mentor Graphics design tools, Synopsys or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera, and/or Actel FPGA technology
  • 2+ years of experience working with Digital Signal Processing Algorithms and implementation

Principal DFT Engineer

XtremeEDA will consider full-time or contract for this position.

Job Duties

  • Must have a thorough understanding of ATPG, memory BIST, scan insertion and boundary scan
  • Follow SOW to provide a development plan for DFT flow and test strategy
  • Test mode debug
  • Support closure at full chip level
  • Complete post-silicon tasks
  • Be able to direct team members and track progress and/or act as individual contributor

Required Qualifications

Must possess a BS / MS / PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and have a minimum of 12 years of ASIC/SOC/FPGA digital logic experience employing the following skills:

  • Familiarity of tools used in DFT implementation (DC/RC, Tk/Tmax, Virage/Mentor memory BIST, Mentor Bscan) with expertise in one of them
  • Exposure to STA tools. able work with team in timing closure for DFT modes
  • Scripting experience using Python, TCL, and Perl
  • Experience with PD concepts and flow, to assist client PD team if needed

Desired Qualifications

Other desirable qualifications include Verilog, VHDL, Formal Verification, UPF / low-power methods, or mixed-signal experience.

Principal Physical Design Engineer

XtremeEDA will consider full-time or contract for this position.

Job Duties

  • Use Floorplanning tools, P&R flows, global timing verification and Physical Design Verification Flows
  • ASIC integration including Clock and Power distribution, global signal planning, I/O planning and hard IP integration
  • Knowledge with hierarchical design approach, top-down design, budgeting, timing and physical convergence
  • Test (DFT) mode constraints for place and route, floorplanning, power planning,
  • IR drop analysis
  • Multi-mode & multi-corner (MMMC) clock tree synthesis
  • Timing optimization and closure
  • RC extraction, signal integrity, cross talk noise and delay analysis

Required Qualifications

Must possess a BS / MS / PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and have a minimum of 12 years of ASIC/SOC/FPGA digital logic experience employing the following skills:

  • Expertise with large SoC designs (>20M gates) with frequencies in excess of 1GHz

Must have 8+ years industry experience in the following areas:

  • Physical Design
  • Place & Route tools (Cadence Innovus and/or Synopsys ICC2)
  • Timing closure experience in Synopsys PTSI
  • Physical verification
  • Familiarity of tools used in DFT implementation (DC/RC, Tk/Tmax, Virage/Mentor memory BIST, Mentor Bscan) with expertise in one of them
  • Static Timing Analysis (STA) tools. Must be able to work with team in timing closure for DFT modes
  • Scripting experience using Python, TCL, and Perl
  • Experience with PD concepts and flow, to assist client PD team if needed
